I. Project Background

In the interior upgrade of the 2023 model of the Chrysler Group, three core requirements were proposed for the makeup mirror system:

1. Achieve intelligent linkage between the mirror cover opening/closing and the lighting system

2. Enhance the operation feel to the standard of luxury vehicles

3. Pass the most stringent automotive electronic reliability tests in North America.

II. Technical Challenges

1. Space Conflict: The thickness of the mirror cover is only 8mm, and traditional switches cannot be installed.

2. Touch Sensitivity Issue: A trigger with an ultra-short stroke of 0.5mm is required.

3. Noise Reduction Requirement: The operating noise must be controlled below 25 decibels.

4. Extreme Environments: It needs to withstand temperature fluctuations ranging from -40℃ to 105℃.
